I have tried opening the pattern in the piano roll and cutting and pasting it into a new piano roll on a new channel but then it seems if the start point is several bars along from the start point of all the other channels and it doesn't show in the channel rack. Simplified it means the most productive things you can do will give you the most results. I can't do this option as I get a warning that patterns must be on a separate channel for this to work. What are the 20 of actions that give 80 of results when it comes to trying to be a industry producer and a very good producer. I have Googled quite a lot but can only seem to find how to split channels to a separate pattern. But I cannot find a way to make them be assigned to different channels. I can drag them onto the playlist as separate entities. They are different parts and I wanted them to go to different instruments. I have ended up with 3 separate patterns all assigned to the same track. I have just bought FL Studio 20 for Mac and having come from a Cubase, Logic, Protools, Micro Logic, Cakewalk, Nuendo, Computer Muzys (I have pretty much at had a play with all DAW's that have been around for the last 20 years, including Cubase on an Atari) I seem to be getting my proverbial nickers in a twist.
